Hal ALH/Dhruv in colours of Indian coast guard.

Hal was awarded a contract for 32 ALH which were to be distributed equally amongst Indian Navy and Indian Coast guard.

The cost of order was nearly 8000 crore rupees which translates to some 250 crore per helicopter but then take into consideration that these price include basic infrastructure cost too. Also the ICG heli come with a spares and support and logistics package for 5 year period.

The landing gear of IN/ICG ALH is also unique and has a retractable assembly unlike army dhruv which normally sport a fixed solid landing gear.

The Dhruv is ready for user trial before being inducted into ICG.
